Curtis H.S. – William Middleton (left) and Rosemarie O'Conner (right), both students in Curtis High School's International Baccalaureate program, recently presented a check for $313 to NYCID Executive Director Dominick Brancato (center).
Last fall, the students organized a miniature golf tournament fund raiser – "Save Our Staten Island" – held at Staten Island Mini Golf. The proceeds were given to NYCID, the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art and the Staten Island Zoo.

Caring for those less fortunate
In the News:
NY 1 and the Staten Island Advance highlighted students in our after school program at Curtis.
Students have been making blankets for children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need through Project Linus. Led by two wonderful students, Khaleda Akter and Jillian Christy, they began in January and have made hundreds of blankets for the children. What a wonderful project! The Staten Island Advance was there to take pictures as well so look for that story in the paper.
Pictured here, the NYCID After School participants at Curtis High School recently delivered some of the blankets they made for homeless children to a staff member at Project Hospitality.
